+  Obama Announces "Final Rules" for Contraception Coverage

  • Description: President Obama has shown once again that he is bound and determined to provide free contraception to all women in whatever form they choose. Late Friday afternoon he announced the “final rules” for contraception coverage. For-profit companies that object to contraception must notify the government, which will force the company’s insurance provider to cover the costs of contraception. We talk to Adèle Keim about the legal challenges to these new rules and what they mean for non-profit and for-profit companies.

  • Description: Earlier this summer Ireland became the first country in the world to legalize gay marriage by way of a popular vote. Greece accepted a new bailout deal to stay in the Eurozone but the country’s financial future is still grim. George Schwartz joins us to explain the situation.
