Can a gift be designated to a specific area?

Yes, while giving money to the Ave Maria Radio Guild provides support for the general fund for operating expenses, you may designate a gift for something very specific. To accomplish this, please contact the Development Office with your request. Examples of other funds in support of Ave Maria Radio include the Endowment Fund or the Equipment Fund. For tax purposes, what is the last day I can make a contribution?

It depends on your gift. If you’re contributing by credit card at Ave Maria Radio online giving site, you have until midnight, December 31.

If you are sending your gift through the mail payable by credit card, your gift must be received at Ave Maria Radio by December 30 to allow for processing time. (We suggest allowing at least one week for postal delivery time, depending on where you live.)

If you are mailing your check, the envelope must be postmarked (and the check dated) by December 31.

How do I get my IRS tax receipt?

How does a memorial gift get properly designated?

When making a gift as a memorial to someone, include a note with the following information:

Name of the deceased and date of death
Name of the surviving widow, widower or family member.
Name, address, and amount of each donation included in the envelope.
Telephone number of the principal donor, in case there are any questions.
Fund or program to which the contribution should be designated.

Private funding is the critical factor for supporting and maintaining Ave Maria Radio for the future. Philanthropic gifts from private donors ensure that we continue to offer news, analysis, teaching, devotions and music to demonstrate the good news that Jesus is Lord over all areas of life.

Every gift to the Ave Maria Radio, no matter the amount, has an immediate and meaningful impact. Contributions help maintain Ave Maria Radio and help ensure its future operations.

What is the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund is the primary means of funding the ongoing annual operation of Ave Maria Radio. Funds are typically raised through on-air pledge drives, mail solicitations, or direct solicitation efforts. Annual Fund gifts are usually unrestricted income and represent a substantial percentage of Ave Maria Radio’s income. You may contribute a gift of any amount to the Ave Maria Radio Annual Fund. What is the Endowment Fund?

The Endowment Fund is one in which the principal remains untouched, and only a portion of the earnings are used. You may contribute a gift of any amount to the Ave Maria Radio Endowment Fund. What is the Equipment Fund?

Gift to the Equipment Fund may only be spent to cover or offset the purchase of new or used equipment in support of Ave Maria Radio. You may contribute a gift of any amount to the Ave Maria Radio Equipment Fund. What is the Events Fund?

Gifts to the Events Fund may only be spent to cover or offset expenses incurred for special events sponsored by Ave Maria Radio.
