Kresta in the Afternoon – March 7, 2023 – Hour 2

Paul Williams shares his unexpected pilgrimage from Buddhism to Catholicism.

Searching for Hope: My Conversion from Buddhism

Paul Williams is a Catholic lay Dominican who practiced Buddhism for several years. But as he studied that faith he realized elements of it, especially the idea of karma and rebirth, ultimately rendered life meaningless and hopeless. His search for a rational answer led him to reexamine Christianity and, ultimately, the Catholic Church. Paul joins us.

Paul Williams is a former professor of Indian and Tibetan Philosophy at the University of Bristol. He's a lay Dominican and the author Unexpected Way: On Converting from Buddhism to Catholicism.
