It’s Parish of the Week Wednesday! We’re joined by Fr. Craig Marion from St. Daniel’s in Clarkston. Fr. Matt Mauriello invites everyone to a free parish mission taking place Aug 3-6 at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Harrison, MI.

Parish of the Week: St. Daniel Catholic Church in Clarkston, MI

Fr. Craig Marion is Priest in Solidum at St. Daniel’s in Clarkston. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit in 2017, after earning a Master’s Degree in Divinity from Sacred Heart Major Seminary and concurrently earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Sacred Theology awarded from the Angelicum in Rome. Fr. Craig has served at several parishes in the Archdiocese of Detroit, and is now at St. Daniel Catholic Church in Clarkston, which is part of the Northwest Oakland Lakes Vicariate including St. Anne, St. Rita and Our Lady of the Lakes.

Parish Mission: Your Invitation to Live the Abundant Life in Christ
Fr. Matt is here to promote this special parish mission happening Aug. 3-6 at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Harrison. “Join us for inspiring talks and worship each evening. Bring your family, invite a friend, and grow closer together in Christ. No cost, just a freewill offering!”

Fr. Matt Mauriello was ordained in 1988 and served in Puerto Rico. He began service in the Bridgeport, CT diocese in 1991. He served as pastor of two parishes 2002-2016 and thereafter chaplain to a hospital and two nursing homes. He retired in June 2025. Since 2004, Fr. Matt has been a Speaker at the Blue Army Shrine of the World Apostolate of Fatima in NJ and a columnist in their publication, Soul Magazine. In 2007 he was appointed a member of the international committee to plan the World Apostolic Congress on Mercy and began to preach on the Lord’s Mercy nationally. In 2010, Fr. Matt was named the USA delegate to the Basilica of Pompeii in Italy and is an Honorary Canon of the Cathedral Basilica of Orvieto, Italy. In 2023, he was invested as a Knight Chaplain of the Equestrian Order of the Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem.
