Ave Maria in the Afternoon – December 30, 2024 – Hour 2
In this hour of our year in review, we hear Al Kresta’s final commentary, exploring what St. Paul says about religious dialogue. We also listen to a conversation between Al and Marcus about the Road to Emmaus and discuss the Work of the Spirit with Charlie Self.
Al Kresta’s Last Commentary: Religious Dialogue is not Hostile to the Gospel
In a meeting with Mongolian Buddhists, Shamans, Shintoists, and other religious representatives last year, Pope Francis said that interreligious dialogue is “not antithetical to proclamation” but helps religious traditions to understand one another. In the final commentary he ever recorded, Al addressed this issue – and in classic Al fashion, began with the words of St. Paul. We listen to that commentary today.
