Fr. John Bettin is the Pastor of the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica in Royal Oak. He grew up on the East Side of Detroit as the youngest of 11 children (7 sisters and 3 brothers). He graduated from De La Salle High School in 1982. Fr. John’s career as a CPA continued for 24 years before he discerned a call to the priesthood. Fr. John entered Sacred Heart Major Seminary in 2011 and was ordained at the age of 53 by Archbishop Allen Vigneron in 2017.

Joe McGivney is a devoted husband to his wife Nicole, a proud father to his adult children Ally and Colin, a grateful recovering alcoholic, and a child of God. He has served as the Deputy Grand Knight for Santa Maria Council 4999 and is an active parishioner at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Joe is an author and frequent guest speaker at alcohol and addiction treatment centers, correctional facilities, Knights of Columbus events, and parish gatherings. Professionally, Joe recently retired from a successful 35-year career in the Financial Services industry. His retirement turned out to be short lived. Joe is now a Mission Advancement Specialist at Guest House, a Catholic healing ministry that has been serving the Catholic Church since 1956.
