Fundraiser Dinner to support needy families in Lebanon

Hosted by the Maronite Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary
On June 29, 2023, we held our first Lebanon Appeal fundraiser dinner. We embarked on a mission to support the needy families of Lebanon ministered by our religious community, the Maronite Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Many of you distinguished our first dinner with your presence and generous donations, as did many by donating without being able to attend. Through your generosity we raised $27,000. These funds allowed us to serve 42 families, many from Keserwan and other areas, we were able to provide cash assistance over $48,000, food supplies over $18,000, medical assistance and health insurance coverage over $47,000, and finally educational tuitions $2,000 for 10 students. Your love and generosity relieved and soothed many wounds in body and in spirit. On behalf of the people who received the contributions we thank you.
The mission continues as the situation has continually worsened due to the constant unrest in the Middle East and the war between Israel and Hezbollah that started over a year ago. The plight is making individuals and families more vulnerable to levels of extreme poverty.
We pray to raise over $30,000. The demand grows and the number of families and individuals in need is increasing.
The Calvary of our Lord Jesus Christ continues as long as lack of love is found in hearts and souls of indifferent people. As you became part of our religious mission here in the USA and in Lebanon, the bond grows stronger and deeper in the heart of our Lord Jesus and His Blessed Mother. Let us celebrate the feast of love by loving one another as our Lord Jesus has loved us first.
On behalf of our religious community, we thank you eternally for coming to our second fundraiser dinner, and for making a difference in a world hungry for love and lacking hearts of flesh.
