Theresa Hofer

As host of the program “Christian Classics,” Theresa Hofer reads from the writings of the saints and other great works of Catholic and Christian literature. Thanks to the generous permissions granted by ICS Publications and other publishers, she has been able to share with a broader audience many of the works of the Carmelite saints, as well as such classic works as The Imitation of Christ, Abandonment to Divine Providence and many others.

Theresa has been involved with the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites since 1995 when her pastor, Fr. Ed Fride, OCDS, started an information group for those interested in learning more about the Secular Discalced Carmelites. That group eventually grew into the St. John of the Cross Fraternity in Ann Arbor, MI, with Fr. Fride serving as the Spiritual Assistant. Theresa made her definitive promise in December 2001 and served as president of the group from 2005-2011.

Theresa is employed as business manager for her parish, Christ the King Catholic Church in Ann Arbor. She holds a B.A. in Drama from Clarke College in Dubuque, IA, and an M.A. in Speech Communications from the University of Michigan.
