Fr. Stanley Rother: Cause for Sainthood – An interview with Fr. Price Oswalt

The Servant of God Fr Stanley Rother was a Catholic priest and missionary to Guatemala. He was murdered by a death squad, believed to be made up of right-wing extremists and elements of the Guatemalan Army, on July 28, 1981. In June the Congregation of the Causes of Saints officially recognized Rother as a martyr, a critical stage before beatification and canonization. We talk to Fr Price Oswalt, Director of the Fr. Stanley Rother Guild.

Rev. Price Oswalt is a native Oklahoman, born into an anti-Catholic non-practicing hodgepodge of Protestantism. He has been a priest in the Archdiocese of OKC for 19 years and is currently pastor of St Joseph Old Cathedral in downtown Oklahoma City as well as the chaplain to Okla Catholic Broadcasting Network. He’s also the director of The Servant of God, Fr. Stanley F. Rother Guild.
