, Theology of the Body Institute

Bill completed the Institute' Speakers Training program in 2005 and our Head & Heart Immersion Course in January 2006. Bill's presentation of Introduction to Theology of the Body has been described as "riveting" and " life -changing". He applies his Masters Degree in Systematic Theology along with his extensive minstry work and love for the Church and its teachings to present John Paul II' s Theology of the Body to your community. Bill has worked in the fields of mission and evangelization in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia since 1999. Through his work with the Pontifical Mission Societies, Bill has given hundreds of talks on the spirituality of mission to young people throughout the greater Philadelphia area and beyond. He has experienced the love of Christ in the missions of Haiti, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic as well as within the realms of Young Adult and Parish ministry in Philadelphia. In October of 2000, Bill was chosen to represent his country in a special tribute for the Jubilee of Missionaries in Rome. He was given a simple cross by Pope John Paul II and called by the Holy Father to “bring Jesus back to your country.” He is filled with a passion for his faith and dedicated to spreading the joy of the New Evangelization. Bill's talks range from the mystery of the Eucharist, the Theology of the Body, and the art of prayer, to living a dynamic Catholic life in our present culture. Believing Adult Faith Formation to be an integral part of the New Evangelization, he's developed the six-week course "Into the Deep," which unpacks the major themes of Pope John Paul II's vision for the New Millennium. Bill holds an Associates Degree in Visual Arts, a Bachelors in Philosophy and a Masters in Systematic Theology. He teaches theology at Malvern Prepatory High School and Immaculata University in Exton, PA. He is also an instructor for the Theology of the Body Institute's Certification Program. Bill and his wife, Rebecca, live in Lansdowne, PA with their two children.

          • Little Flowers Girls' Club - Little Flowers Girls Club® is a Catholic program for girls ages 5 and up based on learning Catholic virtues through the lives of Catholic saints, Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Developed by a Catholic mom of eleven, Rachel Watkins. The Club strives to bring the Catholic faith alive and inspire the girls to become authentic Catholic women. Nine virtues are included in each of three different Wreaths or years of study. While the first wreath is loosely based on Fr. Lasance’s Catholic Girls Guide, all the wreaths provide an introduction to virtues that make them fun as well as easy to understand and put into practice. A fourth year, studying the fruits of the Spirit is also available. The format of the Clubs is flexible, with groups meeting monthly, bi-monthly or weekly. Badges for the virtues are earned by studying the saint associated with the virtue, memorizing relevant scripture verses and studying the Catechism. The program is flexible enough to use with a variety of age groups. Little Flowers Girls Club® has also been successfully implemented in the family. Sashes, vests, skirts, bandanas, t-shirts and other items are extras that add to the experience, but are not necessary to running a successful Club. The Leader's Guide for each Wreath offers suggestions for running meetings, planning crafts and activities, talks on virtues and other relevant information. The Member's Guide includes the activities, saints' biographies, pictures of the saints, and prayers for each girl. Each of the girls in the Club should purchase their own Member's Guide. Other items that leaders find useful - but are not necessary to running a successful club - are the Memory Verse CD/Cassettes, the Tea and Luncheon Manual, the Virtue Badges, and the Craft Companion and Merit Certificates. Leaders should have fun with the program and use the flexibility to choose the items that are right for your group's needs. God bless you in your work for His work! • Tabor Life institute - The Tabor Life Institute is dedicated to the sacramental-liturgical worldview of the human person and of the entire created order. This is a worldview which in fact holds the answer to all of life’s questions precisely because it is the most honest and fully integrated vision of reality. The sacramental-liturgical worldview, therefore, has an immense capacity to liberate and to transform people’s lives, at times even instantly. Pope John Paul II’s theology of the body is the principle delivery system for this sacramental, liturgical worldview. Along with the teachings of Pope John Paul II, the Tabor Life institute incorporates the sum total of the spiritual wisdom of the Church both east and west, irrefutable science, personal testimonies, and common sense in presentations that are fully integrated and comprehensive. The Tabor Life Institute presenters come from both the Roman Catholic and Eastern Catholic spiritual and liturgical traditions. This greatly contributes to Tabor’s special capacity for fully integrated presentations of the sacramental-liturgical worldview. The Tabor Life Institute specializes in compassionately yet forthrightly bringing honesty, clarity and perspective to the most controversial and delicate issues related to the entire experience of human sexuality. Therefore, youth, disenfranchised Christians and non-believers are a particular concern and focus of our work. The Tabor Life Institute was founded in 2003 by Catherine Baranko who serves as its current President. We are also members of TOBIA, (Theology of the Body International Alliance.) • The Catholic Girl's Survival Guide for the Single Years - Three parts sexual license, two parts corporate ladder, with a dash of Monolo Blahnik. If a woman’s single years were a cocktail, that would be the culture’s preferred recipe. Alternatively, there’s two parts husband-hunting novena, one part weeping and gnashing of teeth, with a generous splash of "Offer It Up"—a concoction that makes for a more sanctifying albeit equally unsatisfying brew. Then, there’s this book. Equal parts fun and faithful, The Catholic Girl’s Survival Guide is chock full of practical insights on the nitty-gritty “how to” of the single years, helping women address some of the most pressing questions on their plate, including: Why am I still single? Is there any such thing as a “Single Vocation”? What is authentic femininity and what’s so great about it in the first place? How do I date as an adult without losing my sanity or my soul? Why shouldn’t I throw in the towel on chastity? How do I make decisions about school, work, and finances when there's no husband or babies on the immediate horizon? How do I deal with all my married friends and their children? And what does it take to battle the Single Girl Blues? As hopeful as it is honest, The Catholic Girl’s Survival Guide for the Single Years is the perfect companion for women whose journey to “I do” is turning out to be a longer one than they (or their mothers) would have liked.

          • The Catholic Table - Hi, I'm Emily, an author, journalist, and essayist, who would almost always rather be cooking than writing. You can read more about my work as a writer and speaker at www.emilystimpson.com. The Catholic Table, however, is where I get to explore the things I care about most—friendship, community, faith, and, of course, food. (http://thecatholictable.com/)
