Paul Broun is no longer in office. But this audio is worth evaluating. He is a young earth creationist. His view of the world is that Satan is using the culture to keep us from coming to salvation in Christ. He sees the Bible as a book that should guide the way he governs.

Many questions could be raised. Here’s the one I’m asking you to respond to: Why should or shouldn’t the watching world see him as representative of Christianity? Is he an ally or does he undermine Christian participation in public life? Compare his comments to those of the families of the victims of the Dylan Roof massacre. Do his words create implausibility about the truth of Christianity? Do the actions of the families create plausibility about the truth claims of Christianity? Is this a mixed message? Are we working at cross purposes with our brothers and sisters in Christ? Comment below.
