Description: When are the most important times to celebrate the Liturgy? According to the Catholic Catechism, holy Mother Church has decreed that there are certain days throughout the year when the saving work of Christ should be commemorated. The Lord's resurrection is celebrated once a week on Sunday, the Lord's Day. Once a year, it is also celebrated along with his passion at Easter. Easter is considered by the Church to be the most solemn of all feasts. During the course of the year, the Church's liturgy unfolds the "whole mystery of Christ" and it is made present to the faithful in every age. "When the Church celebrates the mystery of Christ," there is a word that marks her prayer. The word is "today"...echoing the prayer taught by the Lord. It is also synonymous with the call of the Holy Spirit. This "today" in God's time always makes present the hour of Jesus' Passover "which reaches across and underlies all history."
