Malta Minute with the Catechism: Mission – A Requirement of Catholicity

  • Program #: 61
  • Description: When the Founder of the Catholic Church, Jesus Christ, instructed his first "staff", the apostles, to go forth and teach all nations, he gave them a mission. That mission is central to the lifeblood of the Church "“ Inviting people to share the communion of the Father and the Son in the Spirit of Love. The Church's missionary zeal and vigor come from Gods love for all mankind and his desire that all be saved. The Catholic Catechism tells us that "God wills the salvation of all men through the knowledge of truth. Salvation is found in truth." The Spirit of truth prompts souls and those souls who respond are already on their way to salvation. But it is the obligation of the Church to reach out to those desiring truth so as to bring it to them. This is Peggy Stanton and this has been the Order of Malta's Minute with the Catechism.
