Description: What will eternal happiness (beatitude) be like? St. Augustine has a pleasant description. "There we shall rest and see, we shall see and love, we shall love and praise....what will be at the end without end. For what other end do we have, if not to reach the kingdom which has no end?" The Catechism tells us, "God put us in the world, to know, to love and to serve him and be with Him forever in heaven." The Beatitudes present us with clear moral choices. We are invited to avoid evil, to purify our hearts of evil and to love God above all earthly things, none of which can bring lasting happiness. Lasting happiness can be found only in God who is the source of every good and all love. This is Peggy Stanton and this has been the Order of Malta's Minute with the Catechism.
