Dr. Robert Hefner
Dr Robert Hefner is a professor of anthropology at Boston University, where he directs the Institute of Culture, Religion and World Affairs. At CURA, he has directed the program on Islam and society since 1991; coordinated interdisciplinary educational programs on religion and world affairs; and is currently involved in research projects comparing responses to modern social change in Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. He is a contributor to the Under Caesars Sword project.

- Description: A new report from China shows the Communist regime continues to crack down on Christians in new ways. The report says that the government has demanded the 10 Commandments be replaced in churches with quotes by president Xi Jingping and that portraits of Xi, Mao and other leaders be displayed to ensure citizens remain loyal to the regime.
