Kresta in the Afternoon – October 12, 2007 – Hour 2

  • Description:

First Topic – Pope told he must make peace with Muslims

138 Muslim leaders today sent an open letter to the Pope and the Archbishop of Canterbury calling on Christians to “make peace” with Muslims and focus on the similarities between their religions. But the letter clearly contradicts one of the main tenets of Islam, so says Robert Spencer. He is our guest.

Second Topic – Outrage in San Francisco – Eucharist for Blasphemers

Last Sunday, October 7, San Francisco Archbishop George Niederauer said Mass at a Catholic Church in the heart of the gay Castro district.  Most Holy Redeemer Parish has a lamentable reputation of having caved in to demands of homosexual activists.  One group of homosexual activists which until recently operated regularly out of the parish was called "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence", men who wear makeup and dress as Catholic nuns whose motto is “go and sin some more.” Archbishop Niederauer was filmed giving two members of this group Holy Communion. His spokesman explains.

Third Topic – A History of Most Holy Redeemer Parish

Most Holy Redeemer Parish has a lamentable reputation of having caved in to demands of homosexual activists. They have played host to events with the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” and others such as transvestite bingo, participation in the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade, gay religious services broadcast worldwide, Drag Queen beauty pageants, adventures in leather, and Young Adult Group outings to the "San Francisco Transgender Cotillion." The "culture" of the Castro has not been evangelized--instead, Most Holy Redeemer has been turned from a Catholic Parish to a gay parish. We get a history of the parish.
