Kresta in the Afternoon – May 2, 2007 – Hour 2

  • Description:

First Segment - Ten Prayers God Always Says Yes To

President Bush has issued a Presidential Proclamation declaring May 3 as a National Day of Prayer. Books on prayer are many, most often focusing on why we should pray and how to do it correctly. But Anthony DeStefano offers a refreshing look at this evergreen topic by focusing on 10 prayers God "always" answers.

Second Segment - Immigration protesters fewer, but frustrations persist

More than 200,000 activists rallied across the United States on Tuesday, demanding an overhaul of immigration laws and greater rights for an estimated 12 million illegal workers. We look at the nuts and bolts of “comprehensive immigration reform,” the likelihood of passing such legislation and the role of the Church in welcoming the immigrant among us. Kevin Appleby of the USCCB office of Migration and Refugee Services is our guest.
