First Topic – Prop 8 Argued Before CA Supreme Court Today

A majority of California voters may have supported Proposition 8, the constitutional amendment passed four months ago that defined marriage as between one man and one woman. But as the state Supreme Court prepares to hear oral arguments on a series of legal challenges to the law today, more and more members of the state's political establishment continue to take a public stand against it—raising questions, in some quarters, about why so many politicians here have opted to openly break with a majority of voters. Meanwhile, Catholic lawyer and surprise Obama supporter, Douglas Kmiec has now come out against Proposition 8, after supporting it before the vote, and makes what might be called an interesting proposition of his own, in the pages of the San Francisco Chronicle. Maggie Gallagher is with us to discuss it all.

    Second Topic – TBA
