+  The Moral Imagination

  • Description: Edmund Burke wrote of the importance of the "moral imagination" for a healthy political and social order. Using thinkers including Burke, Russell Kirk, CS Lewis, Dietrich von Hildebrand, Ian McGilchrist and others, Michael Miller is here to examine the idea of "moral imagination" and its relationship to politics, education, and human flourishing, and will suggest several steps for educating and the building up the moral imagination.

    • Michael Matheson Miller
      Michael is a Research fellow at the Acton Institute and the producer of Poverty, Inc. He lectures internationally on such themes as moral philosophy, economic development, and social theory, and entrepreneurship. Michael is the director and host of the PovertyCure DVD Series and has appeared in various video curricula including Doing the Right Thing, Effective Stewardship, and the Birth of Freedom. He is chairman of the Advisory Board and former director of PovertyCure, which promotes entrepreneurial solutions to poverty in the developing world.
