+  Defend Marriage! Exercise your Right to Free Speech!

  • Description: Ever since the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage, we’ve taken an extensive look at the future for defenders of traditional marriage. We know that we will be labeled as hateful, irrational bigots on par with the racists of the Jim Crow South. Our arguments will be cast aside as outdated and irrelevant to the modern, progressive world. Christian bakers, florists and photographers who refuse their services at a same-sex wedding will be prosecuted and will have little defense in the current legal system. How can we continue to exercise our right to free speech? We talk about it with Robert Muise.

+  Obamacare Death Panels and Advance Directives

  • Description: A proposed addition to the Affordable Care Act would provide Medicare reimbursements for health care practitioners to hold discussions with patients about end-of-life decisions. Patients would be encouraged to meet with their doctors about their end-of-life choices and sign forms indicating how they would like to be treated. Does this open the door to “death panels?” We discuss it with Jason Negri.

+  Obamacare is "Here to Stay" - What does that Mean for Catholic Healthcare?

  • Description: There was another significant Supreme Court case last month that was overshadowed by the gay marriage decision. In a 6-3 vote the justices ruled that insurance subsidies can be offered in both state and federal exchanges. Obama and his supporters triumphantly declared that the health care law is here to stay and opponents should stop wasting everyone’s time with challenges. We take a look at what this means for Catholic health care providers with Louis Brown and Mike O’Dea.
