    First Topic – Scout Sunday

    The Boy Scouts of America designates the Sunday that falls before February 8 (Scouting Anniversary Day) as Scout Sunday, which is the primary date to recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting. That happens to be this Sunday. We take a look at the history of Scout Sunday and the relationship between Scouts and the local Church. Bob Mazucca, Chief Executive of the BSA is our guest.

    Second Topic – Super Bowl Sunday: God in the Stadium: Sports and Religion in America

    This Sunday evening millions of Americans will be watching the Super Bowl, pitting the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Arizona Cardinals. Robert Higgs joins us to look at sports and religion in America. After a lifetime of observation and concern about the increasingly pervasive influence of sport on American culture, Higgs takes a personal and passionate look at sports and religion in the public values and private rituals of American life.

    Third Topic - A Philosophy of Catholic Education

    Also, this week is Catholic Schools Week and today is the feast of St. John Bosco. We take the opportunity to look at elementary education from a philosophic point of view.
