First Topic – John Paul II: Confronting the Language Empowering the Culture of Death

We live not only in a time and place but also in the description of that time and place. William Brennan is here to expose how that description was twisted and deformed, and how John Paul the Great responded by teaching the world the language of the culture of life. He reveals how, through a discourse of truth-telling - calling things by their proper name - Pope John Paul II effectively exposed the corruption of language and thought fueling a death culture that is becoming increasingly embedded in medicine, human experimentation, commerce, law, and ideology.

Second Topic – Post Mortem - End Abortion / Post Election Pro-Life Summit

Hundreds were unfortunately turned away from the "Pro-Life Summit to End Abortion" held by Dr. Monica Miller and Citizens for a Pro-Life Society this weekend in Ann Arbor, MI. But the 500 who did have tickets made it to Christ the King Church in spite of the ten inches of snow that started falling Saturday morning. As Deal Hudson said, “It's  been quite a while since I've seen any group of Catholics as energized as those gathered by Miller's apostolate, Citizens for a Pro-Life Society. Anyone who had predicted the withdrawal of pro-life Catholics from political engagement after Barack Obama's victory would have been stunned by what they saw and heard at Christ the King.” We talk with Monica about the event, the discussions, and the consensus reached at the Summit.
