First Topic – Thompson comes alive as Republicans debate

Fred Thompson tried to salvage his faltering presidential campaign at a debate Thursday night with a barrage of sharp attacks on the policies of Mike Huckabee, the fellow Southerner whom he clearly sees as a rival in the South Carolina primary. The performance by Thompson, which included several pointed one-liners, capped a debate that showed the altered terrain of the Republican field as it moved beyond contests in Iowa and New Hampshire. We analyze it.

Second Topic –  The Face of Human Trafficking

Today marks the first annual Human Trafficking Awareness day in the United States. A resolution passed by the US Senate last June has forever marked January 11th as a day of awareness and vigilance for the countless victims of Human Trafficking across the globe. One woman on the front lines of the battle is Bridgette Carr. She works with women who have or are attempting to escape the sexual slavery of human trafficking. She is with us.
