  • Description: Today is the feast of St. Josephine Bakhita. St. Josephine was born in Sudan in 1869 and sold into slavery at a very young age. When she was a slave she suffered terribly and was tortured regularly. Although she did not know Christ, she bore her suffering valiantly. Eventually, her new owner introduced her to Christ. She is now recognized as the patron saint of Sudan. Matthew Bunson tells us more about St. Bakhita’s story as we take a look at the state of global human trafficking with Barbara Grant-Yopko,
