First Topic – Doing it Their Own Way: A Contemporary Meditation on the Way of the Cross

This Lent, 68% of you say you are confident that this will be your most spiritually constructive Lent ever. One way to do that is to regularly pray the Stations of the Cross. In his priestly ministry Fr. Jeffrey Bayhi has worked a great deal with the retreat movement on many different levels, including high school and college, parish missions, diaconate and priesthood retreats, and prison ministry, including a hospital for the criminally insane. He has now produced a CD which is a contemporary meditation on the Way of the Cross, born out of the years in which so many people, under their own personal crosses, trusted him with their journey. The CD is recorded with Fr. Bayhi and Aaron Neville. Fr. Bayhi is here to discuss the CD and our spiritual growth in Lent.

Second Topic – Obama budget the largest in the history of world government – by a mile

President Barack Obama forecast a staggering $1.75 trillion deficit in a budget yesterday that urges a costly overhaul of the healthcare system and would spend billions to arrest the economy's freefall. The eye-popping deficit underlined the heavy blow the deep recession has dealt to the country's finances as Obama unveiled his first budget. In 2010, the deficit would dip to a still-huge $1.17 trillion, Obama predicted. The current budget spends over $11,000 for each and every man, woman and child in America. U.S. Congressman Thaddeus McCotter is here to put this budget into perspective.
