Issa Holds Hearing on HHS Mandate / Religious Liberty Republican Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee held a hearing today called "Lines Crossed: Separation of Church and State. Has the Obama Administration Trampled on Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Conscience?" The lead witness was Bishop William E. Lori, Chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' Ad Hoc Committee on Religious Liberty. We talk to Eric Kniffin of the Beckett Fund who has been following the hearings.

    Beginning this weekend, REELZ channel will be re-airing a two-part miniseries "Pope Joan." They describe it as "a sweeping historical drama about a woman whose existence has been denied for a thousand years. Pope Joan is the story of a controversial figure of historical record who disguised herself as a man and rose to rule the Catholic Church in the 9th century as the first and only woman to sit on the throne of St. Peter."
