Description: Christianity, Judaism and Islam are all monotheistic religions that draw their teachings from a sacred book. How do we know which is true? Where can we go to find Truth, Goodness and Beauty? We’ll discuss it with Laurie Manhardt.
Laurie Manhardt is the author of the Come and See Bible Series. She hosts a home Bible study for couples in mixed marriages and serves in a weekly Bible study in her parish. She is particularly interested in helping people who feel called to start their own Catholic Bible studies. The Promise: The Untold Story of the Armenian Genocide
Description: When we think of the genocides that have been perpetrated over the last century, the first one that comes to mind is of course the Holocaust of World War II. Most people are also familiar with the Rwandan genocide, since it happened during our lifetime. But many probably haven't heard much about the Armenian genocide - the Ottoman government's systematic extermination of 1.5 million Armenians during World War I. The horrific story is brought to life in the new film The Promise, which was recently screened at the Vatican. We'll talk with producer Eric Esralian.
Eric Esralian is a proud Armenian and the great-grandson of Armenian Genocide survivors. He's a producer for the new film The Promise, which hits theaters on April 21. Visit thepromisetoact.org.
