+  Social Science Apologetics: The Pill and Depression

  • Description: Despite a new Pew survey reporting that only 4% of Americans and 13% of weekly Mass attending Catholics in the US think that contraception is morally wrong, “the Pill” is getting belated, but well-deserved, bad press from surprising sources. A Harvard psychology professor is reporting on research indicating that hormonal contraceptives influence the type of man a woman is attracted to and can undermine satisfaction in longterm relationships. We’ll talk about it with Dr. Greg Popcak.

+  Pope Francis Appoints 17 New Cardinals, Including 3 Americans

  • Description: During his Angelus yesterday, Pope Francis announced he is going to create 17 new members of the College of Cardinals. Among them are three Americans: Archbishop Blase Cupich of Chicago, Archbishop Kevin Farrell of Dallas, and Archbishop Joseph Tobin of Indianapolis. 13 of the Cardinals are under the age of 80 and therefore eligible to vote in a papal conclave.
