+ Talks begin in Nicaragua
- Description: Representatives of Nicaraguan president Daniel Ortega have finally begun talks with opposition leaders, nearly a year after violent protests threatened to tear the country apart. Before the talks began, dozens of anti-government protesters were released. The Vatican's ambassador ot Nicaragua and Managua's cardinal were both present as observers, continuing the Church's involvement in the crisis there. Alejandro Bermudez has the latest.
