Through developing sophisticated understandings of the nature and wealth-creating capacity of capital, Christian theologians, philosophers, and financiers exerted considerable influence upon the emergence and development of the international financial systems that helped unleash a revolution in the way the world thinks about and uses capital. We’ll talk with Dr. Sam Gregg about how Christians have helped develop the financial systems that have rescued millions of people from poverty.

      Dr Sam Gregg is the Director of Research at the Acton Institute. He has written and spoken extensively on political economy, ethics in finance and natural law theory and is the author of several books, most recently “For God and Profit: How Banking and Finance Can Serve the Common Good.” He publishes in journals such as Economic Affairs and the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy.
