+  How to Help Pontifical Missions without Leaving Home

  • Description: The Catholic Church sponsors mission projects all over the globe. Many of us would love to help, but know it's not our calling to travel firsthand on a mission trip. MISSIO is a crowdfunding platform that allows parishes and charities to create their own fundraising projects to support the Church's international work. We'll hear more about it from Fr Andrew Small.

      Fr Andrew Small is the National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies of the United States. A Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate, he has worked in pastoral ministry in Brazil and in Houston, Texas. He led the US Bishops' campaign against global poverty from 2004 to 2009 and served as the US coordinator of recovery efforts fro the Church in Haiti after the devastating earthquake in 2010.
