John Paul Shimek holds advanced graduate degrees in Roman Catholic Theology and Philosophy from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Shimek is a specialist in the teachings of the Second Vatican Council, Blessed Pope John Paul II, and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. He is a Lecturer in the Theology of the New Evangelization as well as Political, Legal, and Moral Philosophy at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family in Manitowoc, Wisconsin in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Green Bay. He has served as a special assistant to the now-Cardinal Timothy Michael Dolan and Archbishop Jerome Listecki of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Erlandson has overseen the development of a number of new publishing efforts, including a line of Catholic stewardship materials, the Catholic Parent Know How series, and a wide-ranging series of Catholic pamphlets. In 2009 the Publishing Division acquired the curriculum division formerly known as Harcourt Religion. It is now called Our Sunday Visitor Curriculum.
