Catholic Connection – November 1, 2018 – Hour 1

+  Theology of the Body Film Project

  • Description: "Recently, I decided to answer God’s call to produce a narrative short film that is close to my heart. The film touches issues on the morality of human sexuality which was inspired by the writings of St John Paul II (I feel like JP2’s Theology of the Body is a great “antidote” for today’s hostile climate on the human body). I fell in love with JP2’s teaching and I want to produce stories that capture the essence of the dignity of the human person. I hope to touch someone’s heart and potentially create a pathway to God without overly moralizing the Christian message. I received insightful feedback on the script from catholic thinkers such as Brian Butler, Christopher West and the Cor Project, David Dawson Jr., Director of Marriage and Family Life in New Orleans and Dr. Tom Neal at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans. I spent 12 months developing this story, and now, I feel it is ready for production. " - Matt LaFont (Originally aired October 4, 2018)
