+  The Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (aka The Angelicum)

  • Description: The Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) is a Dominican institution in the heart of Rome. It contains Faculties of Theology, Philosophy, Canon Law, and Social Sciences. The roots of the Angelicum reach to the medieval Dominican house of studies in Rome, founded in the XIII century, in which Aquinas taught. It presently offers education in Italian and English for students of about 100 different nationalities. The Angelicum collaborates with academic institutions from all over the world. Among its illustrious students belongs Karol Wojtyła, Saint John Paul II.

+  Planned Parenthood Distancing Itself from Its Founder

  • Description: Planned Parenthood of Greater New York vowed Tuesday it would pull the name of Margaret Sanger, seen by many as a trailblazer for birth control and reproductive rights, from its health center in Manhattan as part of what the group says is a “a public commitment to reckon with its founder’s harmful connections to the eugenics movement.”

      Director of Civil Rights for the Unborn , Priests for Life

      The daughter of the late civil rights activist Rev. A.D. King and his wife Naomi Barber King, Alveda grew up in the civil rights movement led by her uncle, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Her family home in Birmingham, Alabama, was bombed, as was her father’s church office in Louisville, Kentucky. Alveda was jailed during the open housing movement. She sees the pro-life movement as a continuation of the civil rights struggle.
