  • Description: Miami Archbishop Thomas G. Wenski urged community members to come together "to support one another in this time of grief" after a shooting rampage Feb. 14 at a Broward County high school left at least 17 people dead and at least 14 injured. "With God's help, we can remain strong and resolute to resist evil in all its manifestations," the archbishop said in a statement. "May God heal the brokenhearted and comfort the sorrowing as we once again face as a nation another act of senseless violence and horrifying evil." ...

      Debbie Herbeck, a Messianic Jewish Catholic, is the newsletter editor for Renewal Ministries. She is the director of the Renewal Ministries School of Catholic Bible Study and she and her husband Peter have co-authored a book entitled: "When the Spirit Speaks, Touched by God’s Word." She has also written "Safely Through the Storm, 120 Reflections on Hope" and "Firmly on the Rock, 120 Reflections on Faith." Debbie has worked extensively in youth and women’s ministry for the past thirty years, doing evangelism on university campuses, speaking at conferences and retreats, leading mission trips for youth, directing Pine Hills summer youth camp, and mentoring high school and college age women.
