Title: MARC CHARPENTIER – LENTEN MEDITATIONS
Description: At some point in the 1680’s (the exact date is unknown), the French composer, Marc Charpentier, wrote 10 Lenten meditations. Much like the Stations of the Cross, these reflections follow the narrative of events that led to that tragic Friday when Christ was crucified and entombed. The music is French Baroque – emotional, sublime, mystical, and utterly beautiful. Not to be missed!
