How an Understanding of Islam Helps us Understand our own Faith

Many modern secular thinkers, in an effort to criticize religion and belief in God, claim that all religions are essentially the same. This is, of course, preposterous and it only takes a basic understanding of what the different religions profess to see they are not at all the same. But understanding the similarities and differences is essential, both in strengthening our own faith and achieving dialogue with others. David Pinault joins us once again with a look at Islam and its connections to Christianity.

david pinault — Fr. James Kubicki, S.J., was ordained a Jesuit priest in 1983. He was the national director of the Apostleship of Prayer from 2003 to 2017. He currently leads retreats and parish missions while serving as a spiritual director at St. Francis de Sales Seminary in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
