We celebrate the Feast of the Guardian Angels by looking back on a conversation with the late Fr. John Horgan, author of His Angels at our Side.

What are the angels? They do not form a separate universe – they are an integral part of this world and have been sent forth for the sake of our salvation. They are pure spirits who communicate to us God’s grace, His goodness, and His truth. On this Feast of the Guardian Angels, we look back on a conversation with the late Fr. John Horgan.

Opus Sanctorum Angelorum 

Father John Horgan was ordained in 1986 by Pope John Paul II. He was the author of His Angels at our Side: Understanding the Power of the Angels. He had a lifelong interest in angels and saints and was credentialed through the Vatican's special training course for those involved in the process of saint-making in 1997. He served for many years in Archdiocese of Vancouver and worked as a vice-postulator for the cause of Blessed Marie of Jesus Deluil-Martiny. He was also a longtime host and presenter with EWTN. Fr. Horgan died on October 19, 2022 following a battle with stomach cancer.
