4:00 – The Liberty Threat: The Attack on Religious Freedom in America Today

Whatever happened to liberty and justice for all? Americans are losing what are supposed to be constitutionally promised rights at an alarming pace. The Founding Fathers understood the overriding essentiality of religious practice unimpeded by governmental authority, but time and vast cultural change has eroded this from the consciences of modern politicians. In “The Liberty Threat,” James Tonkowich explores the history of Christian philosophy from the Church’s infancy through the birth of America and how it influenced religious liberty. James joins us to illustrate just how the rigid separation of Church and state has created a world that is hostile to true faith.

5:00 – Kresta Special Hour: The World’s Debt to the Catholic Church

Venerable Fulton Sheen famously said, “There are not one hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church, but there are millions who hate what they wrongly perceive the Catholic Church to be.” Any faithful Catholic who has conversed with someone outside the Church can support this. Millions of people believe the Church is anti-science, anti-learning, anti-progress, anti-women, anti-gay…the list goes on. Acclaimed antitheists like Richard Dawkins have made it clear that the world would be much better off if the Church just went away. Yet without the influence of the Catholic Church, the world would not be where it is today. In this special Kresta Commentary, Al details the world’s debt to the Catholic Church and envisions a world without Her.
