Harsh Critic of Pope Francis is Elected President of Argentina

Javier Milei, a politician who has been an outspoken critic of Pope Francis, has been elected president of Pope Francis’ homeland of Argentina. For years he has criticized the Church’s social doctrine and defined Pope Francis as a communist. We talk more with Matthew Bunson.

St. Thomas Aquinas is well-known for his contributions to philosophy. But scholars have recently began to more fully appreciate his role as a biblical theologian. Why was this aspect of his thought neglected for so long? What did Aquinas’ Biblical theology look like? We talk with Dr. Matthew Levering.

Matthew Levering is the author of many books, including Vatican II as an Ongoing Theological Event and The Abuse of Conscience: A Century of Catholic Moral Theology. He is Chair of Theology Mundelein Seminary in Illinois.
