Kresta in the Afternoon – November 15, 2023 – Hour 2

Guest Host Marcus Peter and James Jacobs examine the origins of Philosophy through a Catholic lens.

Viewing Philosophy from the Catholic Tradition

The Catholic Church has always recognized that philosophy is necessary both to understand the faith as well as to defend it. Philosophy helps us to discover the rational principles underlying the intelligible order of reality. James Jacobs joins us with an introduction to Philosophy in the Catholic tradition.

Dr. James Jacobs is Director of Philosophy Programs, Associate Academic Dean, and Department Chair of Philosophy at Notre Dame Seminary in Louisiana. He’s the author of Seat of Wisdom: An Introduction to Philosophy in the Catholic Tradition.
