Many of us were shocked by the news Saturday morning that Pope Francis had removed Bishop Joseph Strickland as the leader of the diocese of Tyler, Texas. In the days since, there has been much speculation as to the reasons for the removal – but with no official statement from the Vatican, it’s just that – speculation. What do we actually know?
