Kresta in the Afternoon – November 1, 2023 – Hour 1

We look back on a conversation with the late Fr Thomas Dubay, who reflects on the everyday holiness of the saints.

The Saints and the Beauty of Holiness

It’s easy to look at the saints as paragons of virtue and holiness, and forget that they were real people who faced real struggle, temptation, and doubt. Fr. Thomas Dubay wrote extensively on the saints as examples of everyday holiness. We look back on a conversation with him today.

Fr Thomas Dubay was a priest, author and retreat director who wrote more than 20 books on Catholic spirituality, in which he emphasized the importance of renewed conversion and contemplative prayer. He led retreats for religious communities all over the world and was a frequent guest on Mother Angelica Live. His books included “Deep Conversion, Deep Prayer,” “Saints: A Closer Look” and “Seeking Spiritual Direction: How to Grow the Divine Life Within.” He died in 2010 at age 88.
