Kresta in the Afternoon – May 16, 2024 – Hour 1

We look at the history of Marian apparitions with Robert Fastiggi.

Encountering Mary in Time and Tradition

The earliest of Mary’s apparitions can be traced back to the first century of the Church and have continued into modern times, inspiring the faithful to devotion to her and to a deeper love of Christ her son. We talk with Dr Robert Fastiggi about the development of Marian teachings throughout history and how they line up with Marian apparitions.

Dr. Robert Fastiggi serves as Chair of the Department of Dogmatic Theology and Christology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, where he has taught since 1999. He has served as the executive editor of the 2009-2013 supplements to the New Catholic Encyclopedia and the co-editor of the English translation of the 43rd edition of the Denzinger-Hünermann compendium published by Ignatius Press in 2012.
