Kresta in the Afternoon – March 26, 2024 – Hour 1

We remember the remarkable life of evangelist Steve Clark, looking back at a conversation about the connection between the Old and New Testaments.

Does the New Testament Make the Old Testament Meaningless?

Critics of religion such as Richard Dawkins often claim that the Old and New Testaments portray two very different Gods, and that the God of the Old Testament is vicious, petty, selfish and vindictive – hardly the type of deity anyone would want to worship. Other critics claim that Christ’s work in the New Testament renders the Old Testament irrelevant. We know both these claims are false, but how should we approach Old Testament writings as followers of Christ? We spoke with Stephen Clark about this back in 2017. Stephen passed away last week, and in his memory we look back on the conversation.
