We’ll listen to FDR’s D-Day Prayer on the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings, and take a look at the upcoming Sunday Gospel with Peggy Stanton. 

 

FDR’ D-Day Prayer

It’s the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings. Later in the day, President Roosevelt addressed the nation via radio, asking them to join him in prayer. We’ll play his address, and Marcus shares some additional thoughts.

“If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.”

This Sunday’s Gospel encompasses, some of the Lord Jesus ‘most famous teachings, such as “a house divided against itself, cannot stand.” And some that are puzzling, as is “whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, will never have forgiveness, but is guilty of an everlasting sin.” Peggy Stanton joins us with more.

Peggy Stanton is the author of From the White House to the White Cross. She's a Dame of the Order of Malta. She was ABC News’ first female Washington correspondent. She has hosted many programs on Ave Maria Radio including the Malta Minute with the Catechism. Her first book was The Daniel Dilemma: The Moral Man in the Public Arena.
