Kresta in the Afternoon – June 16, 2023 – Hour 2

Happy Father’s Day! Leo DeLorenzo joins us with a look at how St Joseph is a model for fathers and for all of us.

The Adventure of Living in Christ

Many Catholic parents struggle to connect faith and relationships, and their kids often instead see the faith as simply a set of rules and structures. The principal relationship in faith is that with Christ; in the words of St Paul, the believer is one who lives “in Christ.” Pope Benedict was fond of saying that to live in Christ as a disciple was an adventure. We talk more about it with Msgr. Michael Heintz.

St Joseph's Model of Faith

The Litany of Saint Joseph is a powerful prayer that leads us to consider the many ways in which Joseph carried out the will of God. After all, he alone was called to be the father to the Son of God and his example shows all of us how to respond to our vocation as a disciple of the Lord. Leonard DeLorenzo joins us with more.
