It’s easy to look at the state of Mass attendance and yearn for the “Good old days” when Church life was a regular part of everyday life. But where do we take it from there? Some like to point at Vatican II as the cause of our problems, but that is missing a larger point. We’ll talk more about it with Fr Joseph Krupp

Catherine Canino was raised in a Catholic home in the 1960s – but from early life was never told of the love and mercy of God. The rules of the Church, she was told, were simply to avoid Hell. She soon rejected this idea of religion. She joins us telling how she discovered God’s Mercy.

Catherine Canino is Professor of Shakespeare and Renaissance Studies at the University of South Carolina Upstate, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In addition to Shakespeare, Dr. Canino  teaches World Literature, Greek and Roman Mythology, and Biblical Backgrounds in Literature. Every year, she takes students to Italy and other parts of Europe and is active in promoting Italian culture within the international community in Spartanburg.
