Sound of Freedom, the story of one man’s efforts to rescue children from sex traffickers, has been a surprise hit this summer, grossing more than $45 million on a $14 million budget. But there’s another story that’s just as remarkable – the Sisters of Mary, who have rescued thousands of children from some of the most dangerous areas imaginable. Kevin Wells tells us their story.

Kevin Wells is the author most recently of Priest and Beggar: The Heroic Life of Venerable Aloysius Schwartz. He’s a former Major League Baseball writer, award-winning journalist, and the best-selling author of The Priests We Need to Save the Church. He is the President of the Monsignor Thomas Wells Society, which is dedicated to the promotion of strong priests and seminarians, and to the practice of the fullness of the Catholic faith. Kevin lives in Millersville, MD with his wife and three children.

He spent more than 40 years as a broadcaster in Detroit media, mostly with Channel 4 WDIV, where he worked as an anchor and meteorologist. He has won multiple Emmys and was awarded the prestigious Silver Circle Award for broadcast excellence by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He is a Mayo Clinic-trained Wellness Coach and holds a certificate in “Second Half Significance” from Pepperdine University and the Halftime Institute.
