What is Happening in Ukraine?

Pope Francis has declared today a day of prayer for peace in Ukraine, where tensions are running high amid fears of a possible Russian invasion. It could mean a matter of life and death for thousands of people in the region and could send millions of refugees into Western Europe. We take a look at what’s going on with Archbishop Borys Gudziak.

Archbishop Borys Gudziak is the Metropolitan Archbishop of Philadelphia for Ukrainian Catholics in the United States. He also serves as Head of the Department of External Church Relations in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. Archbishop was born in the United States to Ukrainian immigrant parents and spent twenty years in Ukraine where he founded the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv and currently serves as Head of the Board of Directors.
